Santa Fe Opera Properties Craft Apprenticeship
Summer 2023
Over the span of 14 weeks in the summer of 2023 I had the opportunity to be learning from professional, innovative artists and skilled craftspeople in an effort to help with crafts needs and maintenance for the Santa Fe Opera 2023 season. While there I was also a props master for six productions for the 2023 Apprentice Scenes season. I worked as a run crew and maintenance for Tosca, Rusalka, and Orfeo. New skills gained ranged in experience with: creating fake food, foam carved faux animals, resin casting miniatures, creating and maintaining blood special effects.
